June & Deny - Arya Duta (18 Aug '08)

Officially the nekad-est (please read carefuly, it's NEKAD-EST, NOT NAKED-EST!) couple ever in the world!!! Record broken: 9 days before D-Day!!! (when they engaged me as their wedding planner).

Luckily, despite the very2 very2 very2 short preparation time, we managed to handle it quite well, thanx to their good cooperation & assistance from the couple too. Also to my lovely crew who could make it in such short notice with full power. Appreciate it very much :) Also, to all other vendors who could help in such short notice too. PomPoms Decoration, Imperium Accoustic Band, Leonardo Nelson & Wiwis as the ballroom dancers :)

And of course not forgetting this, also thanx to Jeffrey Tan for his contribution in the photography section. The following pictures are courtesy of June & Deny, captured by Jeffrey Tan.

Kok jadi kayak acara award yah? hahaha... But really, they helped a lot to make it a successful evening it's a must to mention them :)

OK, S.L.I.M mode [Speak Less Image More]

The thank-you gifts. Luv this shot.

Walking to the poolside area for some pre-reception family shoots.

A very happy mother-of-groom :) A very beautiful smile, isn't it?

Lidya, June's cousin, doing some test-run on the soundsystem.

The four happy 'cu fen ren' (How do you spell it right?)

The decoration. Love the colours and the ambience brought out that night.

Very lovely cupcakes to go with the decoration and theme color of the night. Tiffany blue white-choc topping with cute white floral icing. LUV LUV LUV the colors. Thanx Wen. From our "I do" sweets department, by MaCeHat :)

The Entrance, followed with a Unity Candle procession, to symbolize the unity of 2 different individuals.

Doa sebelum makan.

June laper banget yah after doa hahaha...

Luv this shot. The candles & the chandeliers, and the lighting, and the shadow, and the angle. They all look so... hm.... ah pokoknya luv this shot tu si liau lah.. banyak kali cengkonek wa...

Desy, probably the most beautiful & elegant singer in Medan? I dun even need to 'instruct' the photographers to shoot her. They always do it on their instincts. Hehehe...

Leonardo (who happened to be Deny's cousin) & Wiwis, my favourite 'entertainers'. Very reliable, humble, friendly and great to work with. If only all vendors could be just like them :)

Deny & June, enjoying Leonardo & Wiwis's Cha-Cha-Cha

June & Deny's thank you speeches for their mums & dads. At one point they literally lost words and they actually looked at me for 'words'. Hahaha so funny.

Deny's mum & dad happily touched by the speech.

A keyboard&violin duo by June's cousins. Keren hohhh...

Despite the busy night, June & Deny got to mingle around. Here are some shots with their beloved friends :)

Hihihi.. Rupanya u Deva arrr... 'Halo Deva...' hahaha...

THE CUTIES!!!

"Sand Unity" - Henry & Elsa (12 Jun 2008)

Ciek & Aise, that's how we address them :) Handsome & Beautiful, that's how we describe them :) Even the live-band singers couldn't stop adoring them and didn't hesitate to say it out loud.

They are one of my first signing-up clients. We were already friends way back in Sutomo 1. They were my juniors. Ciek used to come play at our apartment back in Melbourne. They are a perfect innerly & outerly beautiful couple. I love working with both of them so much. Not only are they beautiful clients, they are also beautiful friends :)

They gave me the honour to plan their weddings, even without having met face-to-face. This was back in December, only a few days after I launched my 'soft opening' (haha) through Friendster. I can't thank you guys enough for the trust. It's my luck to have such a wonderful couple like you guys. Thank you much :)

OK. Now let's switch to S.L.I.M mode (Say.Less.Image.More)...

'SAND UNITY'

The 'sand unity' ceremony has a very strong relation to beach weddings.
It symbolizes the unity of two different lives into one.

Sorry I made you guys go back to your exact R.O.M spot at Mentone beach just to 'steal' 5 kgs of the sand.
Please don't mention my name when you get caught for VANDALISM!

THE 'CIAP SIN NIO!!!!!'

Pasukan Pendobrak Pintu!!!

Pasukan Penghadang Pintu!!!

A very happy groomsman, about to sing...

'Tui Mien Te Ni Hai Khan Kuo Lai, Khan Kuo Lai, Khan Kuo Lai... La La La La La La ....'

Ciek desperately calling out, "Aise, chut lai liau lahhh..."

"HA HA HA..."

THE RECEPTION

The reception was held at the famous Wisma Benteng, Medan's popular wedding reception venue. I heard it was fully booked for the whole December month (the one whole month!)

THE AMBIENCE

They were married back in 11 Nov 2007, at Mentone Beach, Melbourne. We decided on a beach-themed wedding but didn't want it to look too cheesy like other beach-themed weddings normally do. We decided to take only the 'elements' of sea and somehow modify them into a beautiful stage setting.

The balloons represent sea water bubbles and we had seaweeds transformed into an abstract piece of foam-carving.

The pillars were topped with an aquarium-like vase, decorated with seasand, seashells and blue hydrangea flowers.

A matching wedding cake, with bubbly balls too :)

Yayyy!!! Matching favours too... Sea-inspired jelly candles
(A very useful favour for Medan people, especially for people with no gensets!)

THE MOMENTS

WALKING THE AISLE

Bridesmaids getting ready...
Cute bride, cute bridesmaids. Wat more could you ask for?

Walking the aisle with bubbles personally blown into the air by bridesmaids & groomsmen. They walked in to the tunes of the legendary 'Moon River', live by the acoustic band. A very beautiful piece to go with the ambience.

'Sand Unity' ceremony with bubbles from bridesmaids & groomsmen.

THE SURPRISE 'LOVE STORY' from Aise

A special surprise from the bride, a photoclip of their love journey personally created by the bride herself.
(He's one very lucky man, ain't he?)

touched by the surprise...

'thanx dear. i'm speechless. i love you'

THE DUET

He went to me, "Sien, wa be ki ie lirik liau. Wa cin2 be ki liau. Si loh".
Hence, this picture (Ciek listening to the real song from the CD player. We're lucky I had a copy ready in hand)

'I'm thankful everyday... for The Gift'

(Hoorayyy!!! He got it all right!)

THE FIRST DANCE

Due to time constraint, we had only three very very short dance classes. They were done at my mini TV-room. Really inadequate. But lucky me they were very smart people with 1 left & 1 right feet (each). They nailed it down exquisitely.

'Thank you... for loving me' - by Bon Jovi

THE TEARS OF HAPPINESS

Saying graces to mum&dad... with tears rolling down her cheeks

She's so beautiful even with tears...
Ciek, I'm sure you know what an angel you married right?

SPECIAL CONTRIBUTIONS BY SPECIAL FRIENDS

Ciek's fighting for the mic. He's the one who's paying for everything afterall.

'Well done, guys'

THE BOUQUET THROWING...!!!

Who's the lucky next?

It's the curry fish!!! Let's hope the fish has a beautiful wedding too over in Heaven.

Oh Wait!!! Ciek's dad snatched the bouquet from the poor curry fish!!!

It's quite unrealistic to send the bouquet to Heaven (since the fish had already left). So they decided on giving real women the chance. And the lucky 'real' girl's our own sweet bridesmaid, Eny!!! Though she had to have her body splashed with the luck-charm curry.

THE SIMPLY 'CUTE'S!

With Luv,
